The Psychosocial Training and Education Response to Communities (PTERC) Inc is a non-for profit community-based Refugees, Asylum Seekers, Migrants, Ebola, floods survivors and other diseases affected persons such as HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B professional counselling Charity organisation. The Ebola Virus Survivors and floods survivors include children, families, carers, young people, adults and Ebola widows and flood widows.Our membership comprises of Sierra Leoneans’ Refugees, Asylum Seekrs, Migrants, Ebola survivors and non-Sierra Leoneans such as Liberians, Guineans, community youth social groups, organisations supporting and  working with Refugees, Asylum Seekers, Migrants, Ebola survivors and floods survivors, their families, carers,  health care service providers, particularly  social and community welfare service providers in our community and Sierra Leone,Our aim is to provide professional counselling for Refugees, Asylum Seekers, Ebola survivors and floods’ survivors training, education, information sessions, workshops, community education and early intervention to improve their lives in our community and in Sierra Leone.

To also promote health initiative programs and activities to increase community awareness about counselling, mental health issues, hepatitis B and to improve social and emotional well being for all. And also to provide support services for sexually abused and drug addicted individuals and group, including children, young people, adults both men and women by providing counselling, training, education, advocacy and therapeutic service to improve their lives’ statues.

We also aim at catering  for the vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people for their basic needs, particularly the Ebola survivors and floods orphans, such as educational materials, clothing, scholarships,  building schools, counselling centres, and orphanage homes.

We intend to provide such  professional services  to reduce their, Ebola survivors and floods trauma, stigma, depression, fear, panic, anxiety   and discrimination in their communities to improve their well being. We are also aiming at protecting and promoting awareness about their rights. We would also speak against domestic violence, child abuse, including children, young females genital mutilation (FGM) in their diverse communities.
